to the violin in 400 years.
One could think that there is nothing more to invent, after the masters from Cremona. There were the diabolical reproductions of the 19th century, and now there are roughly 3000 luthiers successfully producing beautiful instruments in the world today. It would seem that the door is wide open to all those who would wish to take up this profession. The saying goes: The old pans make the best soup!
